You say I shall surpass my father.
I know, we are our thoughts, and could try living in the possibility of hope and belief that I shall surpass him. Live in that dream.
What are the odds? The chances? Who am I influencing? Enlightening? Making a difference?
We are all healers. We just have to heal ourselves. Healing myself, with the help of others. Bring inner child back into my heart/conscious presence.

In philosophy of art, a bit of the performer came out with:
Slapstick as I started out mocking professor acting as “teacher” with a piece of paper on the wall I quickly named the key philosophers we studied along with their catch phrase quotes, scribbled on paper illustrating their riffs. Then turned on sound byte of 2001 space odyssey, ascended a ladder in slow motion, reached the top; retrieved a round platter with chocolate cake with the center carved out and a hand made clay apple core in the center with clay apple seeds on top. Descended in slow motion, placed the cake on the floor and moved chimp like movement, observing the object, picked up the apple core, looked inside in present bewilderment inside the circle of the core.
Circle of the core.
The Core
In Pilates they speak of the core – the center of the body.
Ink Brush and Paper, it was the “performance” of sitting, getting quiet, centered, honoring the goat brush in hand waiting for breath and chi to be in alignment before making a mark that came from body...
In second art history class, along with Indian class, took on daily meditations of sitting outside, going further and further out in circles widening the center from backyard to golden gate park to drive out in Nature, honoring earth, sprinkling dirt line, walking the earth, the dirt shirt, to sound class connecting with body, Nature, performing the elements.
Tonight’s on the fly improv focused on two thoughts: have fun, let the inner child out to play, and intention: five elements, audience as circle and invoke the elements of Metal (air), Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. Move/sound as the elements with audience - not as static viewers watching me “perform” but rather having you all as part of the piece that I honor the elements both outside and within each of us, as a prayer around all us.
In philosophy of art presentations of our art history, who are our ancestors, the piece I created was half art, half dance/ performance.
